The Leask family has been growing grapes and making wine for Australian wine brands for over 40 years.
We have an eclectic vineyard selection; 7 different sites, which offer a range of climate, geology, age, and style to choose from. Each vintage we select the most interesting parcels, instinctively based on fruit quality for Hither & Yon. The varietal mix can change depending on what we think is a great reflection from that particular vintage and vineyard.
Our philosophy is to trust the vineyard environment and look after our land sustainably for the next generation. This now includes breeding and grazing our own Black Angus cattle. In the winery we handle the fruit gently to produce wines that are bright, fruit driven and great drinking with or without food.
The wine packaging and cellar door are styled to reflect the artisan approach of growing and making our wine from vine to table. We collaborate with separate artists on each label to best represent the wine.
