Founded in 1848, Ibaraki Shuzo’s main brand is Rairaku or ‘let’s enjoy’. The significance is that Rairaku produces a fresh and easy style of sake of versatility that is suitable for gatherings and special events. In an area where there used to be a concentration of over 60 breweries, Rairaku remains as one of the few still taking advantage of the famously pure water that is ideal for sake production. Ibaraki Shuzo is youthful in their innovations from working with yeast from flowers for fermentation to being the first to adopt packaging their sake in unique one-way KeyKegs.
